This vibrant hotel, standing 41 stories tall on the Sheikh Zayed Road with incredible views of the iconic Burj Khalifa tops the list of the best addresses in Dubai. If you are looking for a hotel that is elegant, modern and relaxing — The Westin Dubai, Al Habtoor City is it.
The Westin Dubai, Al Habtoor City: serenity in the heart of Downtown Dubai
Walking inside the grand entrance of The Westin Dubai you will find yourself in a spacious lobby. The check-in is personal and relaxed. As I rode the sleek elevator up to the 27th floor, I found myself in a beautifully designed, spacious Deluxe Guestroom.
The attention to detail was in fact exceptional: everything from a personalised welcome message on the sliding mirrored wardrobe door, to a framed photo, a rich selection of chocolates, fresh fruits and a bottle of wine as an in-room welcome gift.
The Deluxe Guestroom
The spacious 45 square meter accommodation is located in the heart of Dubai, yet the moment you walk inside you will feel as if you found your retreat and can take a break from the hustle and bustle of the vibrant city life.
The elegant décor completed in neutral tones with stainless-steel fixtures and sleek wooden furnishings, is minimalistic yet inviting.
The smartly appointed accommodation with luxury fabrics and ultra-modern touch has everything one may need — from the Westin Heavenly® Bed and Westin Heavenly® Bath with a free-standing bathtub, a working desk with complimentary Wi-Fi, Nespresso machine and tea making facilities. There is also a very good hairdryer and ironing board.
The bathroom amenities are equally exceptional, with a soft bathrobe and a selection of super soft bath towels. The toiletries are fantastic, a Westin personalised brand made of White Tea aloe — the scent is heavenly.
Dining
At The Westin Dubai, Al Habtoor City you can indulge in the world’s top cuisines. The hotel features six dining venues to choose from. First and foremost you must not miss the famous City Brunch served every Friday at Seasonal Tastes. Read more about our experience — Best Brunch in Dubai: The Westin Al Habtoor City.
For a fun filled meal experience definitely head over to Cook Hall, an American Gastropub serving unique and modern bar-centric dishes and comfort food we all love. The restaurant is open both for lunch and dinner.
We savoured their Nachos from the Munchies selection, Rib eye and Giant Tiger prawns.
If you are looking to spend a fun and memorable afternoon, Cook Hall is the place to be after brunch on Friday afternoon (4pm to be exact).
Breakfast is served at Seasonal Tastes and the selection is endless. There is a second dining area where you can enjoy your breakfast which is located right across from the Seasonal Tastes and is less crowded from the main breakfast area.
The breakfast menu is fantastic. You will find everything your heart desires from cold cuts, to freshly prepared omelette with ingredients of your choice, pastries, croissants, traditional dishes and even gluten free items.
Throughout the day guests may enjoy healthy snacks and beverages at the Daily Treats located on the ground level.
Heavenly Spa and other facilities
If you wish to relax and unwind, a visit to the Heavenly Spa is a must. This signature Spa features 20 treatment rooms which span across an area of 4,000 square meters.
Relaxation facilities include sauna, steam, dedicated couples section with generously sized suites for side-by-side massages, duo hammam room as well as additional wellness opportunities such as a full yoga studio. I will be sharing my Spa experience in a separate blog post, so stay tuned!
Entertainment is available for all ages including the much anticipated La Perle by Dragone theatre project which is about to launch in a couple of months.
