Everyone knows that Dubai is filled to the brim with plenty of things to do. You’ve got glitzy skyscrapers and glamorous mall, you’ve got orange-colored deserts that are hotbeds for adventure and of course – there is the exoticness of the Arabian souks and the Emirati culture.
Dubai’s landscapes make it the perfect place to indulge in all types of couple activities. You’ve got everything – from beaches, to deserts to mountains. Whether you want to pop the big question, dreamily watch the sunset with your significant other, or simply go out for a romantic dinner – you’ve got it all in Dubai.
Top Romantic Things to Do in Dubai
Dinner in the desert
Imagine the scene….The glow of fire, the sheer silence of a vast desert, gorgeous landscapes sprawling for miles, and a nice hot Arabian meal…That’s what you’ll experience if you go on a desert safari with a dinner option. The hypnotic moves of a belly dancer juxtaposed with the sweet taste of mint tea, and a sunset to beat all sunsets – having dinner in the desert is one of the top couple activities you can have in Dubai.
Dinner with view of Burj Al Arab
What could be more romantic than enjoying dinner at Burj Al Arab? Let me tell you – it’s having dinner while enjoying a view of Burj Al Arab.
Very little thing beat the glimmering façade of Burj Al Arab acting as a backdrop to your dinner with your loved one. My two favorites include Pierchic and Rivington Grill. They both have great views of Burj Al Arab and Rivington Grill specifically has beautiful views of the Madinat Souk. If you wish to wow your loved one with a private dinner on the beach then Al Qasr Beach Dinner is highly recommended.

Burj Al Arab: Al Muntaha Lunch Contemporary French Cuisine
Al Muntaha Restaurant is nothing short of opulent. You’ll see it the minute you get in. Right inside of the Burj Al Arab, the restaurant emanates a luxurious vibe and is the perfect place to have a romantic dinner. You’ll be dining at an elevated restaurant with panoramic vistas of the water stretching for miles. The food is a seamless blend between European and Arabian food – so you’ll be enjoying the best of both worlds.
Luxury Canal Dhow Cruise
There are plenty of ways you can enjoy the skyline of new Dubai – walking around it, jogging, going for a romantic dinner, driving around, even taking a helicopter ride over it. But one of the most serene ways you can experience the skyline of the city is by floating quietly amidst its shining colors and history. By going on a dinner cruise, you’ll be able to admire the skyline and have a delicious dinner at the same time.
The glass-encased dhow cruise perfectly incorporates tradition with modernity and you’ll get to see Dubai’s top attractions. This is all thanks to the new artificial water canal that was built that allows both tourists and locals to do this.
Make sure you don’t miss out on the Arabian coffee (kahwa) and feast on the best appetizers together.
4-Course Luxury Dinner Cruise
If you want more of a luxurious experience, I recommend trying the 4-course luxury dinner cruise. You’ll get to enjoy panoramic views of the canal, but you’ll also get a fresh meal, fresh drinks, and a chocolate fondant.
Photoshoot with your partner
You know what’s better than having a romantic dinner or doing some couple activities together? Getting a photo-shoot together to have those memories last forever, of course.
With this tour, you can meet a personal photographer who will take a private photo shoot for you – whether you want something contemporary, candid, or just for fun. What people usually do is pose in front of your favorite locations or go to the top attractions, or just go to your own couples’ spots and take pictures.
Hot air balloon ride
Most people don’t like waking up at the crack of dawn. And for good reason. However, if waking up at the crack of dawn means that you will be met with the golden hues of the desert, the sprawling panorama of the views under you, the slight breeze on your faces and the freedom of being on being in a hot air balloon, then that’s definitely worth it. Get on this hot air balloon ride and experience the other side of Dubai by soaring freely on top of the desert.
Lunch at Al Dawaar
Another restaurant – yet a completely different concept. Dinners are known for their romantic aspect, but revolving restaurants are the new trend. Al Dawaar is Dubai’s only revolving restaurant and has a gorgeous rooftop with live kitchen offerings, a top-notch dessert section, and of course – interiors that are hard to beat. The whole place gives off more of an island vibe, and you’ll feel the romance as you get 360-degree views of Dubai with a cocktail in hand.
Burj Khalifa 124 & Lunch or Dinner at Rooftop, The Burj Club
The experience there starts right from the elevator. You’ll travel up one of the world’s fastest elevators, and then you’ll be right inside of the world’s tallest skyscrapers. The place boasts an unparalleled romantic atmosphere, with a 3-course lunch, a view that overlooks the Dubai Fountain and of course – the rooftop restaurant’s vibe.
Take a day trip to Hatta
A lot of couples are currently more interested in having adventures together rather than just a candlelit dinner. Luckily for you, if you’ve got an adventurous edge to you, you can go on a private full day trip to Hatta and Kalba. The trip will take you through the real Emirates – with its full heritage, its sand dunes, and its mountainous region.
By going on a trip to Hatta, you will be driving down the longest tunnel of Kalba, enjoy the magnificent sand dunes of Emirates, and learn about the country’s exciting past.
Visit the Love Lake
You can tell from its name that this is a spot that couples prefer. Al Qudra is an oasis of serenity away from the hustle and bustle of Dubai. There are plenty of couple activities that you can enjoy in the place – from having a ride around the lakes, to enjoy a nice picnic.
If you’re also interested in wildlife then you’ll love this place: there are over 170 bird species along with wild foxes there, flamingos and a lot more.
Relax at a spa
There are plenty of spas around Dubai and there is no doubt that going to a spa is one of the best couple activities you can do. There are a lot of spas that offer couple packages including:
Willow Stream Spa with full body massages, salt scrubs, or aromatherapy messages. There is also the Talise Spa at Jumeirah Al Qasr, which is also about the peace and quiet. Make sure you opt for the 60- minute couples massage and enjoy the Balinese massage, the aromas around you, and have a nap in the relaxation room with chocolate and strawberries.
Other spas to check out for couple packages:
- Talise Ottoman Spa.
- The SPA.
- Armani Spa.
- Waldorf Astoria Spa.
- Ritz-Carlton Spa.
Take a walk on the beach
Whether you’re in Dubai or anywhere else in the world – everyone knows that a walk on the beach beats anything else! Dubai has some of the best beaches in the world and definitely some of the most attractive shorelines.
Dubai Fountain
The Dubai Fountain is one of the best romantic couple activities in Dubai. You’ll get to watch the great views of the fountain dancing to music, and I definitely recommend going there by sunset.
Spend the night at Al Maha, a Luxury Collection Desert Resort & Spa
This is for everyone out there who wants to indulge in the utmost form of relaxation – you can enjoy a couples massage at the Raffle Spa, then stay at a private suite with a private whirlpool.
It doesn’t even stop there – just having a sunset candlelit dinner by the beach in Dubai is enough of a romantic activity to do. The city teems with romance all year long if you know where to look.
