Dubai Frame is the recent new attraction which opened in Dubai in January 2018. Soaring at a hight of 150 meters this brand new landmark of Dubai has been designed with the idea of connecting old and new Dubai.
Dubai Frame: The Experience
First Level of Dubai Frame Experience: Old Dubai
The Experience of visiting the Dubai Frame takes you on a journey which consists of three levels — on the ground level visitors are introduced to the project and Old Dubai.
A series of exhibits present the life of the city through projections and smells that remind of Old Dubai. This interactive gallery projects the history of Dubai and its development over the past few decades.
Over 15,000 square meters of gold cladding were used to cover the exterior of the Dubai Frame and each panel is made of stainless steel sheet, coated with titanium nitrate that creates a thin film of the gold covering. The exterior design of the Dubai Frame was inspired by the Expo 2020 logo.
Second Level of Dubai Frame Experience: Present Dubai
The next level is the Present Dubai which you reach with an elevator going 48 floors up. From one side you will admire the Old Dubai and from the other side the views open up to the New Dubai from where you can see the Burj Khalifa and the Emirates Towers.
The experience is supported by augmented reality screens where you can learn different facts about the city’s landmarks and important developments.
For those who are feeling brave can walk right in the middle — on a glass floor from which you can see the ground. The floor is blurred for short intervals, and then becomes crystal clear again.
There is a Godiva chocolate pop up store/bar on the top level of the Dubai Frame if you wish to sit down and indulge on something sweet while soaking in the atmosphere.
Third Level of Dubai Frame Experience: Future Dubai
The final stage of the Dubai Frame experience takes you to a room where you will watch the future plans of Dubai. You embark on a journey of special effects and audio sounds which transform you to a Dubai — 50 years from now. Flying cars, AI, robots and much more. The future is already near. Unfortunately no photos are allowed inside but it is an inspiring experience.
We recommend that you visit the Dubai Frame just before the sunset that way you can see the city both during the day light and with its bright lights.
